Many concepts for my work evolve from the seemingly mundane things in everyday life. I often borrow processes and techniques from unrelated areas and disciplines, highlighting their less obvious commonalities with humour. Jewellery can function as a support for its wearer and I investigate different fields where this idea of support appears. For the cuffs, A bras le corps, I was inspired by architectural caryatids which serve as both ornament and functional support.
I use diverse materials such as ceramic, glass, plastic and metal, moving gracefully between traditional jewellery techniques and new technologies like 3D printing.
